Dwell with Dignity Thrift Studio

Dwell with Dignity is a non-profit organization that helps families escape poverty through design by bringing good design to those less fortunate, inspiring them to maintain a standard of living they can be proud of and thrive in. Thrift Studio, an annual fundraiser, provides one third of their operating revenue that allows them to continue their mission. I was invited to be one of 10 Designers in the Dallas Area to create a vignette with local finds donated for the cause in 2015. After having just been to Paris and falling back in love with the French architecture and design, I had to play off that. A separate area, a patio, was included in my design. No matter where you were, every restaurant or store had patio seating, and they were always full! The real special piece of the space is the 3 canvases that span the back wall. My assistant Dani, went to the top of the Arc de Triumph and took this amazing photo that we were able to enlarge and create a mural backdrop in the space. You can read more about my experience here.
